We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of DevOps Lead - Trading Applications (FICC)/Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • We are looking for an experienced DevOps & team lead who will join our delivery team supporting development and maintenance of various applications and systems, including Bloomberg TOMS and Optitrade Allocation Platform.
  • Act as the application SME for Order Management and Primary Trading Systems, specifically Bloomberg TOMS, providing functional and technical support to Front Office users and partner teams.
  • Provide SME support across the trade lifecycle for Fixed Income products, particularly cash bonds, futures and IRS, including investigation of processing and data issues. Support and troubleshoot block and allocation workflows and associated downstream impacts through the settlement lifecycle, partnering with Operations and Control functions to resolve breaks and exceptions.
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD, DevOps practices and tooling to increase delivery throughput and operational resilience.Participate in platform improvement initiatives (e.g., performance, monitoring/alerting, production stability, automation and operational readiness).
  • Contribute to requirements gathering and delivery planning to meet business needs with high quality and on-time delivery.Consult closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements, developing user stories in association with Product Owners, Business Analysts and technical leads.
  • Work with engineering and testing teams to map requirements to delivery schedules and ensure appropriate test coverage and execution.
  • Identify risks and issues early, recommend pragmatic solutions, and drive remediation through to completion.
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot and approved GenAI tooling to accelerate engineering and support outcomes (e.g., automation, code quality improvements, test generation, incident analysis, runbook and knowledge-based creation), ensuring appropriate controls for confidentiality and data usage

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 10+ years of IT experience working with Primary Trading applications, specifically Bloomberg TOMS. Highly experienced working within Agile projects and DevOps methodologies.
  • Must have knowledge of Trade Life Cycle, in particular for Fixed Income Products. Specifically in-depth understanding of price contributions, PnL attributes and PnL calculations for intra-day and end of day valuations.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (including GitHub Copilot and approved/available GenAI tooling) to improve productivity and delivery outcomes. Participate in platform improvement initiatives like improvement of performance, production stability.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability. Flexibility and adaptability to quickly adjust to demand of the team in terms of new technologies and projects.
  • Scripting/automation and orchestration experience (e.g., Python, Airflow, Control-M). Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills
  • Experience in Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Geneos Experience in messaging and orchestration architectures working on JMS, IBM MQ / Artemis / Solace / control-m etc. Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g. SQL) or NOSQL DBs (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Exposure to Fixed Income Derivative products. Knowledge of regulatory reporting guidelines by various regulatory authorities
