Role purpose

Ensure the effective execution of the commercial strategy of the Customers & Core Banking direction across the branch network, by translating and deploying strategic initiatives into clear commercial actions, ensuring understanding, adoption, and consistent execution in the field.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic initiatives into clear commercial execution guidelines for the branch network related to HSBC One & Premier customer acquisition and Upgrades, Payroll Switching, Primacy, among others.
  • Lead the commercial rollout of campaigns, processes, value propositions, and tools across branches.
  • Present and communicate initiatives in key forums (EXCO, divisional councils, sub-director meetings, webinars).
  • Develop commercial materials, presentations, training content, and execution guides.
  • Create sales scripts, commercial arguments, and conversation frameworks to support frontline teams.
  • Ensure understanding of the commercial strategy through structured training and continuous communication
  • Drive and monitor the adoption and correct execution of commercial initiatives, campaigns, and processes in branches.
  • Ensure effective usage of commercial tools (e.g., CRM campaigns / Visin) and follow up on execution in the field.
  • Maintain strong field presence through regular visits to branches and divisional offices.
  • Support frontline teams in the correct interpretation of processes, value proposition, and sales tools.
  • Identify and document best commercial practices in branches and scale them at a national level.
  • Detect execution gaps and improvement opportunities across processes, campaigns, and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields).
  • 5+ years of experience in retail banking, commercial management, sales execution, or branch network roles.
  • Proven experience working closely with branch networks and frontline teams.
  • Experience in commercial rollout, training, and execution of business initiatives.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong understanding of retail banking commercial dynamics and branch network execution.
  • Experience in commercial strategy execution, sales management, or field commercial roles.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial processes, customer value propositions, and sales practices.
  • Understanding of CRM tools and campaign execution in branch environments (preferred).
  • Awareness of market trends and competitor practices in retail banking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
