We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Business Compliance Manager reporting to Risk and Business Management Team in Hang Seng Insurance Company (“HSIC”), the Business Compliance Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Group Financial Crime Policy and ensures all related controls are effective and implemented within target completion date. The Business Compliance Manager is also expected to collabratively work with other stakeholders (incl. Global Insurance, Financial Crime Compliance, WPB, ORM, Insurance Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Third Party Risk etc.).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support HSIC Risk and Business Management team to properly manage Financial Crime Risk “FCR” matters (incl. CDD, Sanctions, Screening, Transction Monitoring, etc.) and all related items (Risk and Control Assessment, Continous Monitoring Programme, issues and incidents management)
  • Being the local expert on CDD to production and project stakeholders
  • Manage and implement CDD related initiatives and projects in accordance with the business model and risk appetite. Ensure plans, projects and expected performance is delivered within the timeline
  • Drive customer centric and operation efficient CDD process and workflow
  • Support the maintenance and update of procedure manuals
  • Perform gap analysis and read-across related to CDDHandle regulator enquiry and internal assurance / audit
  • Manage the onboarding, periodic review and trigger review for customers for PAO and non-PAO customers for individuals, trust & private investment companies, and entity customers according to the Group and Local standards
  • Perform CDD activities (e.g. AAR, NNS) to cope with operational needs
  • Perform QAQC and Continous Monitoring Programme / Activities
  • Handle Book of Work
  • Provide MI for management oversight
  • Support ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years relevant AML/KYC experience, including minimum 2 year of experience in client portfolio reviews (including client interaction) across various client segments.
  • Knowledge & experience of KYC / AML Regulations. Having a certification in AML/CFT related courses will have added advantage.
  • Experience in the implementation of Group risk management policies and procedures.
  • Pro-active & business orientated with ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands and ability to assess stakeholder needs to improve customer experience and showing resilience under pressure and providing best in class solutions.
  • Ability to articulate issues concisely in the language of the business and communicate effectively and confidently across cultures and at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership / people management experience
  • Proven behavior to do the right thing, take accountability and commitment to the assigned deliverables
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Proficiency in both English and Cantonese.
