We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

  • Develop the most appropriate IT solutions in line with the solution design to meet customer needs, driving continuous improvement and ensuring unit & integration tests are written (with execution by Test Engineers).
  • Own end-to-end delivery and accountability for a product/service, shaping and building solutions that support the Customer Journey.
  • Ensure products and services remain compliant with all mandatory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Group controls within pod activities and ensure remediation actions are completed swiftly.
  • Be accountable for operational stability, integrity, and availability of pod-supported products and services.
  • Be accountable for pod performance, meeting benchmark objectives across productivity, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Support the Solution Architect to ensure solutions/services align to the right architectures and systems.
  • Identify and prioritise improvements to enhance customer outcomes and service reliability.
  • Collaborate across stakeholders (engineering, testing, risk/control, architecture, operations) to deliver outcomes at pace while managing risks responsibly

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong development background with solid analysis, design, coding, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the Private Banking domain and ability to assess business/technical suitability of requirements with architects and developers.
  • Hands-on experience with the Avaloq platform, including parameterisation, reporting and interfaces.
  • Strong scripting skills (PL/SQL, Unix/Shell) plus working knowledge of Unix, ControlM and batch operations.
  • Ability to elicit/understand user requirements and translate them into appropriate IT solutions aligned to solution design and continuous improvement.
  • End-to-end delivery experience: develop, unit/integration test support (incl. collaboration with Test Engineers), handle project/POD issues, and execute releases.
  • Strong Agile/DevOps ways of working, including iterative delivery and collaboration across teams.
  • Excellent communication: clear written documentation (structured analysis) plus strong verbal/presentation skills to validate solutions with business and technical stakeholders
