We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate- Leveraged & Acquisition Finance.

In this role you will:

  • Provide analytical support across the origination, structuring, execution, and distribution of corporate flow and event driven financings within the Leveraged, Acquisition and Syndicated Finance team
  • Support the credit approval, transaction execution, and syndication processes for leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and syndicated lending opportunities
  • Prepare and review financial models, credit analyses, transaction materials, internal approval papers, and client presentations
  • Take the lead and coordinate key aspects of the deal process and provide guidance to the deal team, ensuring effective collaboration with partners across Corporate and Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking, and relevant product teams
  • Support senior team members in delivering consistent pricing, structuring, and market guidance across product and transaction spectrum.
  • Assist in developing and strengthening relationships with corporate and financial sponsor clients
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisers, lenders, investors, and other transaction parties to facilitate timely and effective deal execution
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the operational, credit, conduct and reputational risk associated with leveraged, acquisition and syndicated finance activities, and take accountability for identifying, escalating, and mitigating such risks in accordance with the Groups policies and risk appetite.

To be successful you will need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, structured credit, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial and credit analysis including financial modeling and transaction structuring
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence and professionalism to engage effectively with clients, including investors and borrowers, as well as colleagues and market peers
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and committed, with a mature approach and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
