We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate, Illiquid Credit Sales.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the identification of sales opportunities that address specific needs for clients and managing from identification to point of sale
  • Contribute to maintenance of business relationships with accounts in assigned area of responsibility
  • Assist the team in the efficient marketing of products to their client base and in achieving both Financial and Qualitative annual objectives to their client base
  • Share relevant market, customer and counter-party intelligence with colleagues in the HSBC network, in order that the Group derives maximum benefit from its networking potential
  • Support the day to day operations of the desk
  • Maintain complete records of client orders and execution
  • Provide the team management with required management information, in order to inform decision making

To be successful you will need:

  • Relevant experience in credit sales covering institutional clients
  • Thorough understanding of the front to back control environment and the role needs to ensure the leadership tone and operational processes uphold the highest standards of front office supervisory standards across the team
  • Knowledge of the global regulatory and conduct landscape is important to ensure compliance within the team, to challenge others and to adapt the operating model to ensure client needs and HSBCs reputation is balanced
