As part of HSBCs client coverage force, the Relationship Manager is on the front line of this network, helping global clients, as well as various partners, realize the full capabilities of our institution.

Role Purpose

The Relationship Manager (RM) acts as the primary strategic advisor and focal point for a portfolio of high-value GNB clients. This role is pivotal in originating and executing client strategies, driving cross-border collaboration, and leading deal teams to deliver comprehensive HSBC solutions for the best outcome to clients. We are seeking a seasoned banker with a proven track record to drive proactive pipeline origination, maintain rigorous credit stewardship, and strict adherence to all risk and compliance standards.

Job Content

  • Manage a portfolio of multinational clients to ensure the clients have full access to the global network of HSBC and product suite in order to achieve business goal.
  • Drive revenue growth and increase share of wallet proactively, including but not limited to cash management, trade, foreign exchange, and financing, etc.
  • Be the trusted advisor of the decision makers of the clients to develop long-term client relationship and identify new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with product partners or various stakeholders (e.g. Global Relationship Banker, Credit Risk, Legal, etc.) to deliver customized solutions and ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and perform to the highest standards, combining client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities
  • Ensure sound credit quality and growth of assets whilst managing returns of the client relationship
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards that apply to the conduct of the business, including but not limited to Know-your-customer guidelines, Anti-money laundering regulations and procedures in order to manage Financial Crime Risk.

Qualifications

  • Strong capability in developing and originating client solutions
  • Good track record of being trusted advisor to the key client decision makers for multinational clients
  • Sound knowledge of corporate banking products
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Good understanding of risk management and risk mitigation spanning credit and financial crime risk
  • Bachelors degree at a minimum academic qualification
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin language
