We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Solution Architecture.

Principal responsibilities

1.Setting future-state enterprise architecture and transition roadmaps aligned to Group strategies, standards, patterns and control requirements

2.Own end-to-end solution design across products and features, translating business requirements into architecturally sound, cost-effective technology solutions

3.Ensure designs meet customer outcomes, carry minimal unmanaged risk and align to Group strategy

4.Shape technology transformation aligned to Group platform strategies, including data and integration platforms and a clear reuse/build/buy approach

5.Embed control-by-design across security, resilience, privacy, records management and auditability requirements

6.Proactively manage and escalate risks; ensure designs pass the right governance gates (Decision Driven Design, Solution Architecture FIM); maintain traceability and peer review of all architectural decisions

7.Collaborate with architects across GBI value streams; identify cross-platform dependencies; build capability in cloud, resilience, security and adaptability; act as liaison to regional/Group architecture groups

8.Provide architectural direction and consistency across one or more agile PODs

Requirements

1.Senior enterprise architecture experience within large-scale, complex and internationally regulated organisations

2.Proven experience shaping multi-year target-state architecture and transition roadmaps aligned to business outcomes and platform strategies

3.Evidenced delivery of technology transformation including application rationalisation, simplification and adoption of shared platforms

4.Strong understanding of security, resilience, data privacy, records management and broader control requirements in architecture decisions

5.Effective communication with senior stakeholders, presenting options, trade-offs, risks and recommendations to enable timely decisions

6.Experience modernising architecture ways of working including codified or automated approaches

7.People leadership experience developing architecture capability and coaching talent across teams and communities

8.Knowledge of AI, data modelling, APIs, messaging, integration patterns and security. Collaborative, proactive, resilient, pragmatic, ownership-driven, continuous learner, composed under pressure, strong communicator across all audience levels
