We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Institutional Clients Group, India team.

Job Introduction

Associate Director, Institutional Clients Group (ICG). Primary responsibility will be to cover Liquid investors (i.e. funds, asset managers) within ICG.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client base
  • Drive revenue growth across India Financial Institutional client portfolio and International Financial institution clients investing into India
  • Identify marketing opportunities, undertake appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services.
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations as well as contribute to the high quality of client meetings.
  • Ensure prompt and appropriate response to customer enquiries and concerns by liaising with product and support teams.
  • Contribute to achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment of the team
  • Liaise with regional counterparts acting as central point of contact for local matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including product partners
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal & external rules, regulations & procedures.
  • Act as the First Line of Defence to protect HSBC against Financial Crime and to ensure credit risk arising from the relationship with the clients is proactively managed at all times
  • Engaging and developing C-Suite level relationships with AM and HFs locally across India

Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:

  • Post Graduate Degree in Management
  • Experience in covering this segment of clients

Pro-Tip: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required
