The opportunity: Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting Permanent contract

What you will do:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will co-lead and coordinate financial reporting activities across a portfolio of entities administered by HSBC Continental Europe, Luxembourg.

In this role, you will (but not limited to):

  • Co-lead the Financial Reporting team.
  • Ensure financial statements and other reports are prepared in line with required standards, meeting all reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Luxembourg team and external service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide consultancy on the implementation of traditional, alternative and private asset structures.
  • Oversee and govern all outsourced processes.
  • Oversee the reporting process and manage communication with the CSSF, as required.

You should apply if you have:

  • Strong experience in investment funds financial reporting, with solid general fund accounting knowledge.
  • Up-to-date understanding of CSSF regulatory expectations and relevant accounting standards, including latest IFRS and Lux GAAP as applied to investment funds.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of accounting for securities and derivatives and/or fund of funds and/or private assets funds, with a strong grasp of fund structures (pooling, multi-class, feeder).
  • Working knowledge of AIFMD and UCITS V requirements impacting fund operations and reporting.
  • Proven ability to organise workloads, work efficiently and independently, and motivate a team to deliver to deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Access, with hands-on experience using accounting systems; strong written and spoken English (German a plus).
