Full Job Description

Finance teams provide the bank with internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight, and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas also manage HSBCs worldwide tax affairs, group treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts.

People responsibility: N
Report to : SVP, ALCM

This role supports Treasury / Balance Sheet Management activities with a focus on liquidity risk monitoring, IRRBB oversight, and local regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and high-quality management information and governance.

Job Content

  • Assist in daily liquidity risk metrics monitoring in line with the Liquidity Contingency Plan and intraday liquidity monitoring requirements.
  • Review Group/Region IRRBB returns produced by offshore support teams; provide clear commentary with technical analysis and commercial insight.
  • Produce local regulatory reporting, including IRRBB regulatory returns and Pillar 2 stress testing / analytical reports.
  • Support implementation and ongoing operation of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), including manual IRR buy-in, Liquidity Premium calculation, Omnia process, and Group structural hedge disclosure processes.
  • Liaise with local stakeholders to explain FTP methodology, impacts, and outcomes; support understanding and adoption.
  • Support ALCO governance, including preparation of the ALCO Pack and tracking/follow-up of ALCO actions and decisions.
  • Assist funding resource planning activities (e.g., debt issuance coordination) and support dividend payment/profit repatriation coordination.
  • Engage Taiwan Ratings Corp. (S&P Ratings subsidiary) for annual issuer credit rating review and quarterly financial updates for surveillance.

Skills Requirements

  • Experience in Treasury, ALM, liquidity risk, IRRBB, regulatory reporting, or balance sheet management within banking/financial services preferred.
  • Solid understanding of liquidity risk metrics and IRRBB concepts; able to interpret results and articulate drivers and impacts.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and stress testing principles (e.g., IRRBB returns, Pillar 2 analytics) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; comfortable working with data, controls, and recurring reporting cycles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to translate technical topics into clear, business-relevant messages.Proficiency in Excel and presentation writing (PowerPoint); ability to produce concise, well-structured packs and commentary; familiarity with Python, SQL, or similar tools.
