We are seeking a Vice President to join our New York-based Mortgage & Specialty Finance Investment Banking team. This role offers significant responsibility leading M&A and strategic advisory engagements, direct exposure to senior bankers and clients, and the opportunity to work on a consistent pipeline of active transactions within a market-leading practice.

About the Team

Our Mortgage & Specialty Finance practice is one of the leading advisory franchises in the sector, advising mortgage originators, servicers, specialty finance companies, mortgage REITs, title insurers, mortgage services companies, and related financial services businesses on strategic transactions and capital markets initiatives.

As part of our broader Financial Services platform, professionals gain exposure to a high volume of complex and differentiated assignments requiring deep analytical, valuation, and transaction expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day execution of M&A and strategic advisory engagements
  • Manage transaction processes from engagement through closing
  • Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and management presentations
  • Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates on live transactions
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
  • Support business development initiatives and marketing efforts

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, or related experience
  • Strong M&A execution experience and valuation expertise
  • Advanced financial modeling and accounting skills
  • Mortgage finance, specialty finance, or financial institutions experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
