Scope

Corporate Finance, Hong Kong is looking to add a Financial Analyst to the team.

Analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including cross-border M&A, going-private transactions of US-listed Asian companies, and private capital raises across the capital spectrum.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst, you will:
  • Prepare, analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information

  • Create financial models

  • Coordinate and perform business and financial due diligence

  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations

  • Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers

  • Value companies and businesses

  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors

  • Assist in planning of engagements

Requirements / Qualifications

If you have the following qualifications & experience, wed love to hear from you:

  • An excellent academic track record from a highly regarded university

  • A demonstrated genuine interest in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and/or in working on complex and cross-border M&A transactions

  • Ideally 6+ months prior internship / full-time experience in M&A advisory and/or related fields

  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory

  • An excellent understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin required

  • Skilled in MS Office suite and financial databases (e.g. Capital IQ, Mergermarket)

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organized manner
