General Partner (GP) Advisory

Founded in 2020, Houlihans GPA platform has quickly become one of the most active and respected advisors to private capital general partners on the street. The team has closed numerous deals over the past 5 years and is currently engaged on both sell-side and buy-side mandates on behalf of private capital firms located in the US and Europe.

General Partner Advisory is one of Houlihans youngest M&A investment banking businesses. The team is growing and continually accepting more and larger assignments.

Job Description

Summer Analysts will work alongside the broader GPA team on transactions that provide exposure to various clients in the private equity industry and to a range of investment banking services, including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic consulting. As a Summer Analyst key responsibilities will include (i) supporting the build-out of financial models, (ii) preparing client deliverables (including confidential information memorandums), and (iii) collecting /analysing market research.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors and/or masters degree with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028

  • Possess basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications

  • Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel)

  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
