A housing organisation in London is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded accountant to take ownership of management reporting and month-end, while also developing their business partnering and analytical skills.

Working closely with both finance and non-financial stakeholders, you will play an important role in producing accurate and insightful management information, while helping to improve and systemise existing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Work closely with the Head of FP&A and Financial Controller to ensure robust financial controls and reporting.

  • Experience in a Management Accountant role within property, residential, real estate, development or another capital-intensive environment would be advantageous, but candidates from other sectors will be considered.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables and the ability to build practical models and reporting tools.
  • Experience of month-end, management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and explain financial performance.
  • Commercially minded, with an interest in working closely with operational stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and the desire to improve how things are done rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
