YOUR IMPACT: 

As a vital member of our Performance team, you will directly influence the client experience by ensuring the absolute accuracy and integrity of investment performance data. You will serve as a subject matter expert on performance methodology, applying your quantitative skills to solve complex challenges and provide critical support to our Private Wealth Management business. Your work is crucial in upholding our commitment to clients and safeguarding the firm's reputation.

OUR IMPACT: 

The Operations division is the engine that enables Goldman Sachs' business to flow, providing essential risk management and control. Within this dynamic division, the PWM Performance team plays a pivotal role. We are the global, primary point of contact for all PWM performance questions, partnering closely with the Business, Compliance, and Technology. Our core mission is to maintain flawless firm-wide performance data, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure our clients and advisors have complete confidence in the returns we report.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL: 

  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in the performance methodologies and systems that underpin our Private Wealth Management business.
  • Utilize your quantitative abilities to perform root cause analysis on complex return discrepancies and implement effective, lasting resolutions.
  • Act as a key partner to the PWM Business, leveraging your client service skills to address and resolve client performance inquiries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Collaborate across divisions with Compliance, Technology, and other Operations teams to ensure performance data is accurately reported across all platforms, including the PWM Desktop, client web portals, and monthly statements.
  • Enhance our control environment by meticulously adhering to current risk management frameworks while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and new controls.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing demands 
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze, and form recommendations 
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with stakeholders 
  • Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Operations, Finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Prior experience in Private Wealth Management or Asset Management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, root cause investigation, or performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and control frameworks within a financial services environment.
