Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst or Associate level candidate to join the asset management vertical within Private Markets Investing & Lending (PMIL) team to assist in the transaction management and monitoring of the lending portfolio. Our team sits within the Global Banking and Markets division and operates as the direct monitoring team across debt facilities collateralized by private credit and private equity investments. The finance professional will be an integral part of the team, responsible for a wide variety of activities and analysis. This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees, management, and clients. The candidate should possess strong communication and presentation skills.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management and oversight of data related to underlying collateral i.e. private equity positions, fundamental analysis of corporations, including data setup, data management, and data validation
  • Tracking and confirmation of collateral adequacy for funding and margining (collateral covenants, eligibility, concentration limits). Creating deal dashboards and summary reports
  • Analyze the credit quality of structured transactions and provide a view on the underlying performance, and potential risks & challenges in the future on existing and live trades
  • Monitoring of key parameters and financial covenants as per the legal documents
  • Decoding financing facilitys legal documents and formulating the statements into meaningful Excel Models
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring smooth / high quality execution of various deals and its activities
  • Manage and create data related quality control checks for internal databases and provide resolution through analytic research
  • Develop reporting solutions through multiple tools as needed. Ability to produce interactive graphs, pivot tables, etc. for reporting
  • Maintains systems for tracking projects and communicate results to different business groups

     

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience in asset management, analysis of company financial reports, fundamental analysis.
  • Strong academic background in finance, business, math, or accounting degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA equivalent / candidates pursuing CFA
  • Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident)
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships
  • Solid analytical/logical mindset and attention to detail
  • Commercial focus and interest in financial markets
  • Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage expectations and is a team player
