PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute day-to-day institutional client coverage across JPY interest rate products, including Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs), JPY interest rate swaps, swaptions, and cross-currency products.

  • Support senior sales professionals in maintaining and expanding relationships with domestic and international institutional investors (e.g., life/non-life insurance companies, banks and asset managers).

  • Collaborate closely with trading, structuring, and macroeconomic research teams to formulate and pitch actionable market color, trade ideas, and relative value analyses to clients.

  • Handle real-time pricing requests (RFQ), order execution, trade booking, and post-trade coordination, ensuring absolute precision and minimal operational risk.

  • Assist in client onboarding, account maintenance, and client analytics (e.g., tracking trade stats, hit rates, and share of wallet).

  • Act as a reliable bridge between domestic clients and global desks to facilitate cross-border rates transactions across time zones.

  • Comply strictly with all applicable internal compliance rules, risk protocols, and external regulatory requirements.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15 years of relevant experience in financial markets (Analyst to junior Associate level), preferably in Fixed Income sales, trading, structuring, or trade support/middle office.

  • Strong passion for macroeconomics, central bank monetary policy (BOJ, Fed, ECB), and interest rate dynamics.

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg Terminal.

  • High resilience, detail-oriented mindset, and proven ability to multi-task and execute under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused, collaborative approach.

  • Native Japanese proficiency
