The Executive Office

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. The Office of Corporate Engagement

The Goldman Sachs Office of Corporate Engagement coordinates the global philanthropic efforts of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (Goldman Sachs), including strategic partnerships, charitable giving, and employee volunteerism.

Corporate Engagement is comprised of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, Goldman Sachs Gives, 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, and Community TeamWorks (CTW).

Community TeamWorks (CTW) is Goldman Sachs' flagship global volunteer initiative, mobilizing tens of thousands of employees each year to partner with nonprofit organizations and make meaningful, measurable contributions to their local communities. Together with the firm's Matching Gifts program and our broader employee engagement platform, CTW connects our people's time, skills, and generosity to causes that matter strengthening communities while deepening employee belonging, purpose, and pride in the firm.

The Role

We are seeking a Vice President to lead and develop the firm's employee engagement platform, spanning Community TeamWorks, Matching Gifts, and the wider portfolio of employee giving and volunteerism. The role calls for someone who can think strategically, execute effectively, and inspire participation at scale. The successful candidate will enable Goldman Sachs employees to engage with their communities, amplify impact through data, storytelling, technology, and partnerships, and deepen the platform's reach and effectiveness as a leading model for corporate volunteerism and giving.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop the multi-year vision and strategy for the firm's employee engagement platform, including Community TeamWorks, Matching Gifts, and emerging giving and skills-based volunteering programs, while identifying opportunities to expand into adjacent areas of employee engagement and social impact
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and accountability
  • Serve as the senior point of contact and strategic advisor to firm leadership on employee engagement priorities, surfacing opportunities to align programming with the firm's broader social agenda
  • Define and track key performance indicators that measure participation, reach, impact, and employee sentiment, using insights to continuously refine strategy, including the thoughtful application of AI and data tools to strengthen decision-making

Program Management & Execution

  • Oversee the end-to-end design, planning, and execution of Community TeamWorks as a global program, including signature volunteer events, year-round engagement, and skills-based volunteering opportunities
  • Manage the Matching Gifts program, ensuring a strong employee experience, effective governance, and adherence to compliance 
  • Oversee budgets, work plans, calendars, vendor relationships, and operational tools, including giving and volunteering platforms and matching processes

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and manage relationships with nonprofit partners, community organizations, and external vendors across multiple geographies
  • Partner with division leaders, regional offices, employee networks, and business unit champions to drive participation and embed engagement into the employee experience
  • Represent the firm at events and conferences; serve as an "ambassador" of the firm and its community engagement work

Amplification & Communications

  • Partner with internal Brand, Communications, and Media teams to communicate the platform's impact to internal and external audiences, telling compelling stories that showcase the difference employees make in their communities
  • Develop campaigns and content that drive awareness, participation, and connection across the firm's global population
  • Create presentations, talking points, briefing materials, and strategy documents for senior leadership meetings and events, ensuring incorporation of feedback and quick turnaround

 Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years' experience in program management, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, philanthropy, and/or operations
  • Highest degree of integrity, professionalism and discretion
  • Proven strategic and tactical execution experience including strategy development, operations, and budget analysis
  • Proven project management skills, with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and complete attention to detail
  • Experience managing partnerships and relationships across multiple organizations and geographies
  • Demonstrated people-management experience; skilled at leading internal and external teams and developing junior staff
  • Keen problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, and by email
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI and data tools to drive efficiency, insight, and engagement
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word for presentations and data analysis

Salary Range 
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
