In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develop and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

 

YOUR IMPACT 

You are looking to join a fast-paced, dynamic team that has broad connectivity across the firm for a franchise critical process. You will collaborate with cross-Federation teams and across the globe to manage the firms cash payments and receipts each day. You have a strong desire to learn about the firms different businesses and how they support our client and manage business risks, as well as work closely with a network of key banks and internal payments team to ensure smooth execution.

Corporate Treasury Operations is a subdivision of the Corporate Treasury Division. As a global, multi-faceted and cross-product subdivision, our primary objectives are to: lead the development of new payments-centric businesses, while building scale and improving agility to adapt to a rapidly changing payment landscape; act as a first line of defense for control and governance to protect firms financial assets; and incorporate differentiated client service to be best in class.  Corporate Treasury Operations is a growing subdivision globally, with regional presence in Singapore, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Warsaw, London, New Jersey, New York, Dallas and Salt Lake City with all our offices working closely together as a global team.

The subdivision has a rare opportunity to support products and businesses ranging across existing and new business lines, multiple payment types, and multiple client types, including institutional/franchise, consumer and corporate cash management sectors.  We manage a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around cash management (payment controls, bank account management, settlements and reconciliations, claims), change management, regulatory requirements, and industry trends. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL 

  • Manage a portfolio of cash payments and receipts; work with business units to monitor payment, credit, sanctions and fraud risk
  • Oversight payment controls functions including sanctions and fraud controls. Liaise with AML compliance team to resolve payment exception risk with excellent senior management exposure.
  • Front line interaction with a network of key vendors across cash agent banks as well as central banks.
  • Work with internal business units to resolve cash settlement exceptions / issues.
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the firms books and records.
  • Utilize sanction & fraud risk detection systems and internal bank systems to review suspect items and warning reports daily. Interpret reason codes and follow specified procedures on how to handle suspect activity. Leveraging this payment knowledge, to work closely with our technology and project team to assist with payment system design and re-write

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with minimum 1 year of experience in financial services or operations management
  • Good organization and multi-tasking skills, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details
  • Solid, detailed understanding of cash payments infrastructure such as SWIFT messages and various local clearing systems in Asia markets, or strong willingness and proactive attitude to learn. 
  • Effective team-player with ability to impact and influence across organization and levels
  • Committed, driven and self-motivated individuals who constantly aim to improve the processes and enhance controls.
  • Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge in the payments control functions such as sanction screening/fraud detection/AML preferred
