Job Duties: Associate, Investing & Portfolio Management Private with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, including forecasting financial statements, valuation analysis, market and competitive analysis, returns analysis and unit economics. Prepare detailed investment committee memoranda outlining the considerations of a particular investment and the terms to propose. Present investment thesis to internal investment committees. Significant interactions with senior management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis. Perform quarterly valuations, assess needs for future capital, and help with business development, attend board meetings and assess exit opportunities. Research and develop expertise around various trends, themes and business models across the infrastructure investing sector.

Job Requirements: Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related Investment and Portfolio Management role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: developing detailed financial analyses using knowledge of GAAP accounting, asset valuation techniques, leverage and industry benchmarks; presenting detailed investment analyses to internal committees and building strong relationships with investors, companies and vendors in the Private Investing eco-system; and working with various common equity and preferred equity structures and terms and applying them to individual investments. 10% domestic travel required. All travel costs reimbursed by the Firm.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York - based position is $175,000 - $200,000.
