Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for assisting the Mining Geology and Production Departments in the definition of ore and waste removal at both the nickel/cobalt and calcrete mines at Murrin Murrin Operations (MMO).

You will be responsible for:
  • Ensure sufficient drill collar set out and drilling consumables are available for the drilling contractor for continued operation
  • Ensure sufficient ore mark-up for each of the pit excavators for continued operation
  • Mark out of ore/waste blocks
  • Set out drill collars and pin flags for drilling
  • Accurate validation of drill samples
  • Enter validated sampling data
  • Load drill samples onto trailers in a timely fashion
  • Take ownership of any allocated projects
  • Participate in field activities for near mine exploration work
  • Ensure geology consumables always in stock
  • Maintenance of mark-up equipment
  • Ensure Geotech vehicles are sufficiently stocked at all times
  • Participate in review and improvement of procedures
  • Complete tasks as required by the geology team

About You
This role would suit an individual looking for a team orientated environment where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and be challenged positively, 

You will also have:
  • Year 10 secondary education (with aptitude for science subjects preferred)
  • WA C class Driver's Licence
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to work as part of a team and foster team building
  • Work with attention to detail
  • Work safely and not create or ignore hazards
