The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Mine Production Supervisor to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario.

This is a full-time, permanent, staff position.

Range of Pay: $119,000 to $133,000 plus annual variable compensation bonus

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the Operation General Foreman for lateral or blasthole, the Mine Development Supervisor is accountable for mine development, and the front-line supervision of an underground crew to deliver established operational and safety targets. Critical to this role is the promotion and adherence of health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure that work is safely executed at all times. Direct reports are the workers assigned to their crew.

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your growth in this role.

Education and Skills

This position requires a strong background in mine operations and safety and requires a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. Applicants must also have Underground Supervisory Common Core. The incumbent will be required to work shift work.

Critical competencies for this job are: leadership communication/listening interpersonal relationship people management and development organizational skills high ownership resourcefulness
