Mechanical Designer - Plant 3D/Inventor

We deliver technology solutions and complete package solutions, combining process design, engineering design, and training, commissioning, and ongoing relationships with clients.

We are seeking to fill multiple Mechanical Design Drafter vacancies in Brisbane. In this role you will have the opportunity to design equipment, modelling, and detail drawings as well as assist with plant layouts for Glencore Technologys range of mining plants and equipment. Experience in piping, structural and P&IDs is advantageous. The successful candidate will work as part of a team consisting of process and mechanical engineers and drafters implementing our design office standards. The successful applicant will be proficient in either Plant3D (Piping, Structural, Mechanical design mining experience) or Inventor (Mining Equipment Modelling).

You will be responsible for: 

  • Designing equipment, 3D modelling and detail drawings
  • Assisting with plant layouts for a range of mining plants and equipment
  • Working to meet Glencore Technologys Drawing Office policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Drafting certification with at least five years experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Autodesk Inventor or Plant3D
  • Prior experience in the mining industry is essential
  • Prior experience in Navisworks is an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineer
