The Role

An opportunity exists at our operation for a Health and Safety Officer, reporting to the Safety Coordinator, you will be primarily responsible for;

  • Facilitating risk assessments and conducting quality observations to enhance risk processes used in the field including SLAMs and JSAs
  • Supporting incident investigation activities and provide coaching on the investigation process to frontline Supervisors as required
  • Providing support to the operational area and HST team with strong customer service to provide proactive solutions and to facilitate effective health and safety management and a positive safety culture.
  • Conducting analysis of data to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety, or relevant qualification
  • Knowledge of contemporary Work Health and Safety Practices
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills with the ability to lead, persuade, negotiate, consult with, and provide advice on health and safety matters

The ideal candidate will thrive on identifying continuous business opportunities and demonstrate a high concern for the health and safety of others, maintaining a safe workplace by actively following safety systems and ensuring adherence to all company HSEC policies and legislative requirements.
