About the role:

 Reporting to the Training Analyst, the Administrative Assistant, Training is responsible for the administrative duties of training programs and other initiatives for the Human Resources - Training Department at our Coal Mountain Mine.

To be successful, we are looking for a condent administrative professional who can multitask, stay organized, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This person is self-motivated, detail-orientated, and has strong problem-solving skills. A high level of integrity, passion for continuous improvement, and an ability to know your audience while communicating and collaborating with others would be vital for success in this position.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Coordinate and support New Hire Orientation for all new employees
  • Confidently present information to groups and answer questions in a professional and approachable manner
  • Support the Training Campus training sessions, including class scheduling, participant registrations, instructor communication, and training documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee training records within the Learning Management System (LMS) or training database
  • Monitor mandatory training expirations and coordinate refresher training.
  • Prepare training materials, attendance sheets, presentations, and orientation packages
  • Communicate training schedules and requirements with employees, supervisors, and departments
  • Generate training reports and provide updates on completion rates and compliance
  • Support trainers during classroom and practical training sessions
  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding training requirements and schedules
  • Provide general administrative support to the Training department as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience in an administrative capacity
  • Strong digital literacy and prociency with the Microsoft Oce Suite
  • Advanced communication and organizational skills
  • Previous Experience working with a learning management and electronic ling system would be an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent

Salary range: $59,000 - $73,000 CAD /year


The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
