How You Will Add Value

As a Senior Product Specialist Retail Channel (Canvas) you will be responsible for sales growth within the Midwest and Northwest Divisions. This will be achieved through:

  • Raising assets within your territory

  • Demonstrating subject matter expertise and working collaboratively across the OSAM and Franklin Templeton organizations.

  • Partnering with the Franklin Templeton generalist sales team to sell to Wirehouse, Independent, Bank and Regional financial advisors

  • Being an expert on direct indexing and custom indexing

  • Effectively collaborating with other members of the OSAM Client Service, Portfolio Management, Operations, Tech and Relationship Management teams

What Will Help You Be Successful In This Role

EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of asset management distribution or specialist experience

  • 3+ years of experience with direct indexing exhibiting a deep understanding of it along with the competitive landscape

  • Demonstrated success selling to financial advisors

  • Experience with separately managed accounts (SMAs)

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Comfortable working with and explaining advanced technological solutions

  • Effective facilitator of innovation

  • Excellent communicator including comfort with main stage presentations

  • Passion for collaborating with financial advisors and working to improve their businesses

  • Keen curiosity and ability to understand details of investment processes and practices

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

Work Schedule & Location

  • This is a virtual role that can be based out of preferably any major city within the Midwest or Northwest (Chicago, Denver, Seattle, etc.)

  • Travel expectations of 50-75%

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $155,000 $190,000 depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
