About the Department:

The Fund Administration & Oversight team supports Japan fund operations through operational oversight, accounting data analysis, issue management, and stakeholder coordination. The team works closely with Japan-based Operations colleagues, service providers, custodians, and administrators to help maintain accurate fund operations and effective governance. Team members gain exposure to investment trusts, institutional mandates, operational oversight, risk management, and process improvement in a collaborative international environment.

How you will add value ?

Core Responsibilities:

  • You will support Japan fund administration and oversight activities.

  • You will analyze accounting and operational data for exceptions.

  • You will investigate issues and support timely resolution.

  • You will prepare operational updates and management information.

  • You will maintain process documentation and operating evidence.

  • You will support audit and business continuity requirements.

  • You will monitor controls, incidents, and operational risks.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • You will utilize T-STAR, XNET, and operational data platforms.

  • You will support oversight of service providers and custodians.

  • You will contribute to governance and oversight activities.

  • You will identify process improvement opportunities.

  • You will support scalable operational support models.

  • You will ensure accurate reporting and issue tracking.

Team & Collaboration:

  • You will partner with Japan Operations stakeholders daily.

  • You will coordinate with administrators and custodians.

  • You will follow up on reporting and governance matters.

  • You will act as a liaison between Hyderabad and Japan teams.

What will help you be successful in this role ?

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Japanese Language.

  • Three to five years of fund operations or administration experience.

  • Experience in custody, fund accounting, or operational oversight.

  • Experience working with third-party service providers is preferred.

  • Experience supporting Japan or Asia-Pacific (APAC) operations is advantageous.

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or similar credentials are beneficial.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of fund administration and investment operations.

  • Ability to analyze accounting and operational data.

  • Experience investigating exceptions and operational issues.

  • Exposure to T-STAR, XNET, or related platforms is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools.

  •  Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail and quality.

  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

  • Client-focused and service-oriented mindset.

  • Strong integrity and professional judgment.

  • Ability to balance oversight and operational responsibilities.

Work Shift Timings - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM IST
