BMI A Fitch Solutions Company is currently seeking a Sub-Editor based out of our Pretoria office.

The Sub-Editorial department ensures the quality and accuracy of BMI's vast portfolio of macroeconomic, political risk and industry research content.

  • Check copy for consistency, style, figures, libel & copyright infringement, grammar and punctuation.
  • Communicate closely with the wider Research, Sub-Editorial and Production teams to ensure timely publication of content.
  • Manage high daily and weekly workloads.
  • Contribute to sub-editorial process improvements.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Degree in an English language-oriented or adjacent field.
  • Experience of editing/proofreading in an English language environment.
  • Excellent written English, grammar and proofreading skills, besides meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and an ability to grasp new technologies/systems quickly.

  • Demonstrable ability to handle large volumes of work.
