The Role

The Sr. Risk Manager will provide risk management support to Fidelity Wealth (FW) product and operations teams with an emphasis on personal cards and specialty savings and lending products and capabilities. Your partnership with business leaders and cross-functional partners will help to ensure risks are appropriately considered and mitigated as new and changing products and services are developed for Fidelity Wealth customers. This includes supporting a debit card program management function.

The Team

The Fidelity Wealth business helps customers and their families navigate financial complexity to confidently grow wealth throughout their lifetimes. Your primary role is to work closely with the Fidelity Wealth product and operations teams to understand business risks related to core and ongoing operations, as well as new and emerging products, services and technology. As a representative of the FW Risk team, you will interact with leaders and associates at many levels in the organization. It will require an individual who works well both independently and as part of a larger cross-functional group. You will be involved in various projects that will assist Fidelity Wealth with achieving business objectives.

You will help your business partners by:

  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Performing control reviews
  • Providing risk advisory/initiative support
  • Managing and mitigating risk incidents
  • Providing analysis and reporting
  • Fostering strong partnerships and relationships to influence change
  • Working with partners in Legal and Compliance to support regulatory changes or issues
  • Assisting our internal and external Audit partners, and
  • Ensuring there is appropriate reporting, communication and awareness on issues identified to make sure the business and Risk organizations are making informed decisions.

The Expertise You Have

  • 6-8+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, legal or related control function.
  • Strong financial services, banking, and / or broker-dealer industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of payment/debit card program management risk oversight a plus.
  • Understanding of FW platforms including supporting database and cloud technologies.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience making decisions.
  • Risk assessment and / or controls or audit experience.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills.
  • Working knowledge in the field of data analytics a plus.
  • Experience with Archer or similar GRC tool is a plus.
  • Advanced degree or FINRA license (Series 7) is a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$180,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
