As a Sales Strategist, Deal Manager your primary responsibility will be supporting Fidelity 401k plan sales. You will work closely with your Workplace Investing Retirement Director and Regional Account Executive sales partners to support your team with both their ongoing advisor relationships and the sales process. Your purpose is to provide support to help the selling team focus on their sales opportunities and help them achieve success more quickly.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Knowledge of defined contribution and/or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial advisors and/or third-party administrators
  • Experience working with sales teams or in collaborative partnerships
  • Investment product knowledge
  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Minimal travel requirement (
  • Series 7 and 63 Required
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent with 5+ years experience or Masters Degree with 3+ years experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative in ownership of client deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Solid collaboration skills and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with business partners and team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong individual contributor within a team environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Analyzing the proposal\presentation requirements with the other Deal team members and delivering pricing to prospects
  • Provide support from initial pricing through sales commitment. Managing the proposal activities and sales process for new business opportunities including developing responses, planning, organizing timeline and project deliverables.
  • Customizing materials and support for deal advancement, finals and follow-up. This includes the fund line ups, demo sites and finals presentation
  • Managing multiple requests and prioritizing workload to ensure sales needs are met
  • Managing and maintaining responses to improve proposal drafts and proposal database.

The Team

Workplace Investing Sales is a collaborative, fast paced and exciting environment. In this role you will be responsible for supporting multiple selling teams to ultimately drive sales and grow long term relationships with plan sponsors and trusted advisors. You will have responsibility for prioritizing, organizing, and supporting business partners to improve sales execution and profitability.

The Sales Strategist, Deal Manager role will support the Sales Team selling in the $1-50M plan size. This role will serve prospective plan sponsors and their advisors and is focused primarily on supporting and advancing Defined Contribution proposals from inception though sales commitment. Responsibilities include deal tracking and data updates in Salesforce, preparing plan pricing and fees, as well as supporting Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Sales Finals meeting support. It requires the ability to effectively manage and prioritize high volumes in a highly detailed environment at a critical phase of our sales process.

Fidelitys Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
