The Role
We are seeking an energetic and driven cybersecurity professional to join a fast-paced Security Operations environment focused on high-impact initiatives that strengthen Fidelitys security posture and prevent data leakage.
In this role, you will operate within a rapidly evolving threat landscape, partnering with security professionals across the enterprise to analyze insider activity patterns and behaviors. You will design and implement detections across multiple platforms to identify, investigate, and mitigate insider risks across various data exfiltration channels. Key responsibilities include:
Delivering, implementing, and analyzing insider threat detections while responding to and remediating security events
Investigating insider risk and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) events across structured and unstructured datasets
Developing and tuning detection logic using behavioral analysis, pattern recognition, and policy-based controls
Standardizing and enhancing insider threat policies, practices, and detection methodologies across the enterprise
Supporting the implementation, tuning, and governance of insider threat technologies and processes
Documenting detections, processes, and implementations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
Building dashboards and reporting to measure control effectiveness and identify insider risk trends
Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, delivering results with a strong sense of ownership
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
13 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity operations, or data analytics
Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity threats and incident response practices
Understanding of insider threats and DLP concepts (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with endpoint, email (Exchange), network, and cloud technologies
Experience with query-based languages, data parsing, ETL processes, and data analysis techniques
Ability to use scripting or automation to enrich data, perform lookups, and detect behavioral anomalies
Knowledge of detection development using pattern matching and regular expressions
Experience developing dashboards and reporting to support risk insights and decision-making
Strong analytical and investigative skills with a curious, problem-solving mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage work across multiple environments with a results-oriented approach
Adaptability and willingness to quickly learn new tools and technologies
Strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute as a flexible, team-oriented colleague
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or similar) are a plus
The Team
You will be part of a collaborative Cybersecurity team focused on developing and enhancing capabilities to detect insider threats and analyze security events related to Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
The team works closely with Security Engineering, Data Analytics, and Security Operations Center (SOC) partners to proactively identify risks and implement controls that protect Fidelitys environment. This role offers exposure to cross-functional initiatives and the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide security improvements in a highly visible and impactful domain.
Fidelitys Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
