About your team

The pace of change across our industry as well as with technology is ever increasing. Fidelity continues to invest in modernizing its technology estate and alongside evolving our operations and ways working. The Enterprise Architecture team has the important role to serve the needs of Fidelity by enabling the Business, Technology and Data strategies to flourish and realise the targeted business opportunities and value. About your role
As the Lead Enterprise Architecture Governance Architect, you will be accountable for defining, operating and continuously evolving Fidelity International's architecture governance capability. You will lead the transformation of architecture governance from documentation-based oversight to machine-enforceable controls. This includes defining architecture controls as code, integrating governance rules into delivery pipelines, cloud platforms and enterprise tooling, and establishing automated assurance capabilities that provide continuous compliance monitoring, policy enforcement and real-time architecture risk visibility. You will partner with engineering, security and platform teams to develop a strategic AI enabled enterprise architecture governance framework and deliver reusable governance services.

The role will own the governance ecosystem spanning Architecture Review Boards, Architecture Decision Records, Enterprise Standards, Minimum Control Requirements, Technical Debt Management and Architecture Knowledge Management, ensuring these capabilities are increasingly automated, measurable and scalable.

About you

  • Proven experience designing and implementing automation-led governance models.
  • Experience implementing Policy-as-Code, Controls-as-Code or Compliance-as-Code frameworks within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and platform engineering practices.
  • Experience developing governance automation solutions using APIs, workflow orchestration tools, AI agents and low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Demonstrable track record of reducing manual governance activities through automation and intelligent controls.
  • Experience embedding governance controls within delivery platforms such as ServiceNow, LeanIX, DevOps and cloud-native ecosystems.
  • Experience establishing policy-as-code, governance guardrails and automated compliance controls.
  • Ability to develop governance operating models that scale through automation rather than manual review.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement governance enforcement mechanisms across complex enterprise environments.
