What role you will play in our team

 

Play a critical role in shaping, protecting, and enhancing company reputation and license to operate in the communities in which we operate. Lead the training and development of emergency response capabilities and initiatives across P&GA and ensuring readiness, central in delivering incident response communications and engagement.

 

What you will do

 

  • Support the strategic and operational leadership of P&GA in emergency response incidents across operational sites, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities, business needs, and P&GA objectives.
  • Support strategy development and implementation of programs, investments and strategic initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
  • Proactively engage with communities, local groups and influencers to build mutual trust and understanding, and to monitor reactions, needs and perceptions. 
  • Support reactive crisis communications through planning and delivery, including rapid communication briefings and stakeholder updates.
  • Oversee the community grievance management process; capture issues and grievances and working with internal teams to address them appropriately.
  • Provide expert, trusted advice to leadership on general Public & Government Affairs risks, opportunities, and approaches.
  • Anticipate and manage sensitive issues, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Ensure regular monitoring of activities, capturing critical data and commitments, coordination and alignment with objectives and best practices.
  • Build and promote cross-functional partnerships across ExxonMobil functionsincluding asset-based P&GA teams, State Government Relations, Communications, Media Relations, and the Socioeconomic Management organizationto ensure cohesive messaging and strategic alignment and a One Team approach in the event of emergencies.
  • Develop and oversee training plans, including P&GA-specific, e.g., communications, advocacy, etc., socioeconomic management and emergency response.
  • Identify and understand business needs across corporate business lines and corporate functions.
