Location: Katowice / Wrocaw - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of Global Procurement, supporting EY Technology (EYT) who creates, manages, and operates all the technology and services used by EY covering the entire process life cycle, from understanding the needs of the organizations different Areas and service lines, through defining appropriate strategy and architecture, to the delivery of solutions and managed operational services.

 

Beyond the basic provision of reliable, cost-effective IT infrastructure and operations, EYT is increasingly acting as a catalyst for business success.  Priority projects such as Global CRM, Data Center Consolidation, and messaging and collaboration are essential to delivering on EYs Global Priorities, and in sustaining our competitive advantage as the most globally integrated organization in professional services.

 

The Technology Procurement team supports key programs and solutions globally in partnership with our Client Technology and Service Line colleagues to continue to enhance EYs position as a technology driven industry leader. 

 

Global Procurement is part of the global Supply Chain Services function focusing on the requirements from the Technology teams and managing circa $1.5B of spend annually.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Supporting the Technology Procurement team in the delivery and management of procurement activities may include the following activities:

  • Manage full lifecycle of contracts for assigned programs of work and key suppliers
  • Pro-actively manage contract and license renewals
  • Build and foster collaborative working relationships with EYT and other internal business partners
  • Supporting and leading stakeholders through the Onboarding of Technology Goods and Services end-to-end process.
  • Socialization and facilitation of the Procurement policy and processes, ensuring that the project teams and stakeholders understand the value of the policy and adhere to it accordingly
  • Timely and frequent submission of management information, including project status and savings reporting
  • Support for the Technology Procurement team in developing a strategy which adheres to the overall global technology strategy while supporting local engagements as well
  • Facilitation of any needed market research to identify potential suppliers, ensure competitive pricing and terms, etc.

 

 The Supervising Associate is responsible for sourcing strategy and execution, customer engagement and experience, and vendor management in line with the Global Procurement Policy and processes. 

 

The role of the Supervising Associate may include:

  • Responsibility as a senior individual contributor on a Technology Procurement team aligned to one or more service lines as well as client serving business units.
  • Act as an individual contributor and trusted business advisor - managing multiple complex transactions directly or indirectly and working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver successful results. 
  • Working closely with risk management business partners to minimize contractual risks to the firm whilst demonstrating year on year improvement in value for money. 
  • Partnering with General Counsels Office (legal) to lead key negotiations and reporting on the quantitative and brand value delivered. 
  • Effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans. 
  • Supporting improvement in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting.
  • Successfully leading negotiations for global and regional deals meeting the timelines, scope, and requirements agreed with key stakeholders. 
  • Working with senior EYT and Service Line stakeholders to help develop a category strategy which supports the overall global technology strategy. 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts related to software licensing & rationalization, cloud-based solutions and professional services
  • Experience with negotiating contracts globally and regionally.
  • Experience of managing complex service agreements both from the commercial and service delivery side
  • Minimum 4 years experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement role in a complex and global environment
  • Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders
  • Good knowledge of key IT vendors and new technologies is important to successfully work with the EYT teams
  • Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environment
  • The ability to independently manage and prioritize workload
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for change
  • Provide high level of Exceptional Client Service

 

Education:

  • Degree from accredited university or equivalent in the areas of Finance, Business, Supply Chain
  • CPM (US), CIPS (UK) or similar Procurement certification is welcomed but not essential

 

Ideally, youll also have

 

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English
  • At least three years procurement or sourcing experience required; demonstrated IT procurement experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a truly global, culturally diverse organization
  • Advanced knowledge of Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
