Role Summary

6months Contract Role

The Talent Researcher, Pipeline & Insights Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining strategic talent pipelines, conducting talent market research, delivering recruitment insights, and supporting proactive workforce planning. The role combines candidate sourcing, talent intelligence, competitor mapping, pipeline management, and recruitment analytics to enable data-driven hiring decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of research, data analytics, talent sourcing, workforce intelligence, and strategic recruitment consulting rather than full-cycle recruiting.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct talent mapping and market research for strategic and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Identify talent trends, competitor hiring activity, and emerging skills within target markets.
  • Develop talent landscape reports and workforce insights to support hiring strategies.
  • Benchmark talent availability, location trends, and candidate expectations.
  • Provide market intelligence on salary trends, talent shortages, and competitor activity.

Pipeline Development & Candidate Sourcing

  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines for priority skill areas.
  • Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, talent communities, networking events, referrals, and other sourcing channels.
  • Create and manage talent pools for future hiring needs.
  • Develop candidate engagement campaigns to nurture prospective talent.
  • Support recruiters with high-quality candidate identification and talent recommendations.

Recruitment Analytics & Insights

  • Produce regular reporting on recruitment performance metrics.
  • Analyse pipeline conversion rates, source-of-hire effectiveness, time-to-hire, and candidate engagement trends.
  • Identify bottlenecks within the recruitment process and recommend improvements.
  • Develop dashboards and executive-ready reports that support workforce planning decisions.
  • Translate recruitment data into actionable business insights.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR leadership to understand current and future talent requirements.
  • Participate in workforce planning discussions and strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Provide consultative insights on talent availability and recruitment market conditions.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives through targeted sourcing strategies.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 36 years' experience in talent sourcing, recruitment research, workforce planning, talent intelligence, or recruitment analytics.
  • Strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and talent sourcing tools.
  • Experience working with ATS and CRM platforms.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

 

Preferred

  • Experience within professional services, consulting, technology, financial services, or corporate recruitment.
  • Exposure to workforce planning and talent intelligence methodologies.
  • Experience with Power BI or recruitment dashboards.
