Job Summary
The GDS Alliance Business Intelligence & Operations Strategist will function out of the GDS AlliancePartner Operations COE and be responsible for providing ongoing data and operations support for the EY-Microsoft Alliance. Leveraging a deep understanding of and focus on the EY-Microsoft Alliance business, this role will collaborate with the Financial Reporting function to: prepare comprehensive reporting, analyze business trends/ variances/ discrepancies, identify and help mitigate data issues, address stakeholder concerns and work to resolution of complex data issues. This role will also be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Alliance as outlined below.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Microsoft Alliance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders by translating complex data, operational signals and competing priorities into practical recommendations, scenario options and leadership actions
  • Provide Alliance leadership with business insights and effective reporting which includes collaborating with the Finance function to:
    -Perform extensive analysis of weekly, monthly, and annual results
    -Produce customized Revenue, Sales and Pipeline visualizations, analsyses, and insights 
    -Support Opportunity Management via taxonomy, keywords, and solution mapping across EY and Microsoft products
    -Prospect tracking and reporting; key wins tracking for leadership reporting
    -Spearhead digital transformation initiatives in coordination with the Finance Reporting team
    -Act as the voice of the business to drive, design, develop, deploy, and maintain a BI-driven transformation of both business and financial reporting using Power BI and SQL
    -Develop/refine a sophisticated and Microsoft focused reporting infrastructure beyond the global dashboards, ensuring seamless report generation for global Alliance operations
    -Enhance efficiency through automation and digital integration to improve processes and foster business growth
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across alliance teams, sales, finance, enablement, marketing, sectors, regions, technology and data teams to ensure reporting and analytics outcomes support strategic goals, stakeholder needs and enterprise priorities
  • Help shape executive narratives for monthly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, steering committees, strategic planning cycles, investment reviews, leadership forums and governance discussions, including clear so what interpretation of trends, variances and performance drivers
  • Program Manage various initiatives around processes and tools provided by Alliance Partners which may include: Administration and maintenance of partner tools, portals, etc. Access request tracking, access issue resolution
    Certifications tracking; skill and competency tracking.
  • Ensure Alliance-related reference material is systematically reviewed and refreshed; facilitate and track access to these materials in Sharepoint and other tools
  • Manage onshore stakeholder expectations, plans and communication
  • Maintain strong stakeholder governance by preparing materials, facilitating leadership discussions, documenting actions, tracking follow-ups and ensuring disciplined communication across senior stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with onshore Alliance Enablement contacts on strategic projects and initiatives as and when required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
   Executive-level understanding of business performance management, revenue operations, alliance operations, business intelligence, sales operations, pipeline reporting, KPI governance, investment tracking, value realization and leadership dashboarding.
   Strong commercial and strategic acumen across pipeline, revenue influence, sales motions, partner ecosystem performance, opportunity management and lifecycle, solution activation, go-to-market programs, co-investment and growth performance.
   Ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, surface inconsistencies, frame trade-offs and convert business performance insights into practical executive decisions and action plans.
   Strong understanding of alliance-led growth priorities, partner ecosystem models, joint go-to-market motions, business reviews, enablement priorities, investment governance and the way these translate into performance measures and leadership actions.
   Advanced capability in executive reporting and storytelling, including creation of board-style narratives, scenario options, performance commentary, risk posture summaries, leadership briefings and concise so what insights.
   Data Analytics: experience working with large data sets and analyzing through a business lens
   Collaboration: experience working in a matrixed environment and translating between functional areas to achieve the best outcomes
   Problem-Solving: proven ability in evaluation, root cause analysis, and mitigation, with strong interpersonal skills and analytical thinking
   Technology Aptitude & Proficiency: experience and/or academic background demonstrating proficiency in technology; advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint; competence in Power BI
