Manager and Senior Manager Audit 

 

The opportunity 

 

As our Manager or Senior Manager in Audit, youll help our clients meet their reporting requirements by accurately reporting on financial statements and providing meaningful insights into accounting and reporting matters. This position is based in Warrang Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy, in consultation with the Senior Manager / Partner, and executing it in compliance with our policies and protocols. 
  • Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters. 
  • Lead and manage fieldwork on clients sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process. 
  • Leverage your expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters. 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

Ideally, youll have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • A degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagements. 
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits. 
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing value added recommendations. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management. 
  • The ability to create a positive learning culture, and coach and counsel junior team members to help them to develop.
