About Risk Management Services (RMS): 
Risk Management Services (RMS) is an internal function within EY GDS (Global Delivery services), responsible for protecting the organization from the risks that may arise from its professional practice. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify and manage risks, providing coordinated advice and assistance on suite of services like Independence, Conflicts, Compliance, regulatory, policy and security issues as well as dealing with claims and queries regarding ethics. Formed in 2007, the RMS team is growing rapidly as a Center of Excellence for all standardized quality/compliance related activities.

The opportunity
The Senior Associate within RMS-Independence team would be required to develop subject matter expertise in RMS process and policies. An individual should be able to continuously add value to assigned processes and develop solutions for situations that may not have been previously documented. Process transitions will be an important part of this profile and the candidate will be expected to spearhead & manage the entire transition life cycle including project scoping, documentation, execution, & improvement. Providing feedback to the team members and helping them to move the learning curve will be another aspect of this role.

Your key responsibilities

Technical expertise
   Conduct research using both systematic and intuitive secondary research techniques
   Study the research findings, draw inferences and conclusions in response to the research requirement
   Know key requirements of firm and regulators risk management rules and policies
   Uses analytical and project management methodology and tools
   Completes all assigned projects/tasks in line with the standard operating procedures
   Facilitates and drives the process to completion by following up on requests from Risk Management Consultants and assisting the client team
   Performs review of transactions received from client teams and evaluates completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests.
   Flags issues/potential challenges to the managers at an appropriate time so that timely action can be initiated
   Acts as a liaison between the client teams, other members of the RMS team, and various functional areas within the firm
   Builds a network of people within RMS and across the firm
   Provide feedbacks and also facilitate gathering of feedbacks from the team members to continuously improve the processes

Client Management
   Facilitate introductions with account teams and clients to gather information directly and influence decision-making.
   Proactively manage client expectations by establishing a strong client management framework.
   Address and resolve any service delivery issues or escalations.


People Management

   Oversee team performance, including goal setting, performance assessment, and providing feedback.
   Ensure adherence to workflow protocols and tools.
   Coordinate training schedules for both new and existing team members.
   Mentor and coach team members for professional growth and recommend training to address any skill gaps.

Skills and attributes for success

   Provides first point of contact for guidance to the team and only unanswered / new questions or queries are put to an onshore team
   Pledged for quality of output through internal review mechanisms.
   Workflow allocation and ensuring delivery in agreed timelines.
   Providing team members with performance feedback; helping counsellor in completing periodic performance reviews
   Manage day-to-day administrative issues and communicating appropriately to the customers / project manager at GDS
   Responsible for Achieving customer satisfaction measures / project critical success factors 
   Ability to monitor and prioritize multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously


To qualify for the role, you must have
   Must have a TOPIK 2 Level 3 and up Proficiency Level
   A Bachelor's degree, ideally in Finance, Business Management, or any financerelated field
o    MBA/MCOM/MA or equivalent post-graduate degree is a Plus
   Work Experience: 35 years' experience in any of the following:
o    Research Analyst roles
o    Financerelated positions
o    Secondary research work
o    Any relevant analytical or research-focused role
   Candidates with exposure to handling international customers/client interaction would be preferred.
   Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
   Proficient in MS Office
   Must be well versed with financial instruments used for investment purposes like Shares, Mutual Funds, Insurance etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points)
   Experience with data analysis tools, familiarity with financial databases, analytical writing skills, and understanding of regulatory/independence requirements.

Ideally, youll also have
   Credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-driven environment
   Flexibility to work in rotational shifts
   Ability to think out of the box to come up with innovative or efficient ideas to streamline the process.

Technologies and Tools 
   Experience in MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPoint
   Business analytics tool like Power-BI
