The Opportunity

As a Tax Consultant within People Advisory Services, you will support international and local clients with personal income tax and social security matters, primarily related to employees, mobile individuals and payroll-related obligations.

 

What we look for 

This is a junior-level role, offering on the job training, guidance from experienced consultants and exposure to international client work. You will work closely with colleagues across different countries and interact with clients, payroll teams and tax authorities. Accuracy, good communication and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.

 

Your key activities:

  • Support the preparation and review of personal income tax related documents for individuals.
  •   Assist with social security assessments and compliance for local and internationally mobile employees.
  • Support advisory work related to employment tax, payroll obligations and employee-related tax matters.
  • Prepare calculations, summaries and draft written advice for clients.
  • Assist with correspondence and communication with tax authorities and social security institutions.
  • Support payroll-related reviews and reconciliations from a personal tax perspective.
  •   Collaborate with international EY teams on cross-border personal tax and social security topics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support internal quality and compliance processes.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Tax, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law or a related field.
  • Interest in personal income tax and social security matters.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.
  • Willingness to learn, self-develop and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Organized, reliable and able to manage deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in tax, payroll or accounting is an advantage but not required.
