FSO - Consulting - Actuarial Services Advisor - Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services - IAAS - Life & Health - Manager - Multiple Positions - 1716975, Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Provide actuarial services to clients in the life and health insurance industry concentrating on areas such as risk management, financial reporting, Actuarial Transformation and modeling, retirement income and pension risk transfer, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration, actuarial tax, managed services and audit support. Focus on modeling, financial forecasting, valuation, cash flow testing, reserve testing, risk management (hedging, asset liability management, economic capital), M&A due diligence and actuarial appraisals and litigation support. Understand and communicate complex actuarial issues. Apply professional standards to engagements, such as Actuarial Standards of Practice. Foster relationships with client personnel. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Write articles on actuarial issues of interest to life and health insurance carriers, participate in industry groups and speak at seminars.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
Must have 4 years of experience (in any combination) in an actuarial role within a consulting firm providing services to Life and Health clients, or within a Life and Health insurance company.
Must have 4 years of experience with actuarial-related software (all combinations that add up to 4 years), including AXIS, Prophet, MoSes, ArcVal, Polysystem, or ALFA.
Must have 4 years of experience in Excel, SAS, VBA, or C++.
Must have 2 years of experience writing and presenting technical information to clients or senior management
Must have Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries designation, OR must have successfully completed all of the required exams and modules required to obtain Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries designation.
Requires domestic travel up to 50%.
