Business Analyst - GDS Assurance Digital

 

Position Summary

EYs GDS Assurance Digital team is focused on designing, building, and deploying AIenabled solutions that transform audit workflows, improve quality, and deliver scalable value to global engagement teams. As an AI Business Analyst, you will play a key role in translating audit business needs into AIdriven process solutionsbridging the gap between Assurance domain experts, product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders.

You will contribute to design and adoption of Generative AI, automation, workflow orchestration, and intelligent data processing capabilities that improve auditor efficiency and support EYs broader technologyenabled assurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Process Analysis (AIAligned)

  • Work closely with Assurance teams to understand business problems and identify opportunities where AI, automation, or workflow redesign can add value.
  • Map currentstate audit processes and design AIenabled futurestate workflows.
  • Translate audit and regulatory requirements into functional specifications for AI products, automation tools, and digital accelerators.
  • Perform feasibility assessments of AI use cases, considering data availability, constraints, and intended outcomes.

2. AI Product & Requirement Definition

  • Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to define product vision, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for AIpowered tools.
  • Translate business needs into clear system requirements for engineering teams, including prompts, model behaviors, data inputs, and validation rules.
  • Partner with architects to align solutions with EYs technology standards, AI governance, and compliance guidelines.

3. Platform Thinking & Reusability

  • Identify opportunities to repurpose and scale AI capabilities across similar Assurance use cases, countries, and service lines.
  • Ensure consistency in workflow design, component reuse, and shared AI patterns across the Assurance Digital portfolio.

4. Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and manage Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and demos.
  • Communicate complex AI concepts in simple business language to stakeholders and endusers.
  • Work with geographically distributed teams across product, AI/ML engineering, testing, and business functions.

5. Testing & Quality Validation

  • Develop test scenarios for AI features, including prompt testing, workflow validation, data quality checks, and output verification.
  • Ensure that AI enhancements do not impact upstream or downstream business processes or systems.
  • Conduct UAT with Assurance professionals and gather feedback for iterative improvement.

6. Change Management & Adoption

  • Support rollout of new AI tools through training sessions, communication materials, and user documentation.
  • Collaborate with clientserving teams to drive adoption and gather user insights to improve product experience.

7. Research & Trend Analysis

  • Stay updated on industry trends related to GenAI, intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and audit technology.
  • Evaluate vendor tools, frameworks, and accelerators relevant to Assurance AI solutions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 47 years of experience as a Business Analyst in technologyenabled environments; experience with AI/ML or automation products is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex audit processes and redesign them using AI and automation.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies in multistream projects.
  • Ability to define detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong stakeholder management; ability to conduct demos and articulate AI capabilities to nontechnical audiences.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools, AI/ML products, or digital transformation projects.
  • Banking/Capital Markets industry exposure is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in crossfunctional global teams.

Preferred / Additional Capabilities

  • Understanding of AI concepts including prompt engineering, LLM behavior, model risks, and evaluation frameworks (not deep technical, but conceptual).
  • Ability to create wireframes, process maps, and workflow designs using tools such as Miro, Visio, Figma, or Lucidchart.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and APIs used to integrate AI components into workflow systems.
  • Strong problemsolving mindset with an ability to reengineer processes for better quality and efficiency.

Additional skills requirements:

  • Good verbal and communication skills.
