What does the job involve?
Strategy and Business Development is the business unit within Marketing, Midstream and Processing at Equinor which is accountable for business development activities in MMP across the full range of MMP existing and emerging/future commodities and products. For oil & gas development, acquisition, and divestment projects, SBD is accountable for coordinating all marketing and midstream deliverables, including commercial analysis, mid- and downstream architecture, MMP negotiated agreements, optimal commodity route to market, and value uplift. In Brazil, this unit has the responsibility to ensure flow assurance for equity gas, which includes originating gas and natural gas liquids sales transactions, negotiating access to infrastructure, and balancing and optimizing from production to market the Equinor domestic gas portfolio.By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
Be a key contributor to achieving the units ambition of developing a Brazil market position to capture value and secure flow assurance of our upstream portfolio. The successful candidate will work across the business, and the position provides the opportunity to shape the direction of Equinors market position in Brazil.
This position will contribute to the structuring, negotiation and execution of commercial transactions, and provide analytical insight to support business decisions, while also contributing to shaping Equinors market position in Brazil.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
Contribute to origination, structuring and execution of gas sales transactions and related agreements.
Contribute to negotiation of gas sales, infrastructure access and commercial contracts.
Develop pricing models and support financial and risk assessment of transactions.
Identify and analyze value drivers, risks and optionality in structured agreements.
Monitor regulatory developments and market trends in gas and power markets.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (trading, operations, legal, risk) to support deal execution.
Contribute to development of new commercial products and solutions.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or equivalent.
7+ years Relevant experience in Brazilian energy markets, preferably gas or power commercialization with experience in commercial analysis or business development / deal structuring roles.
Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills preferably with a knowledge of relevant tools, programs and automation processes.
An interest and knowledge of AI tools and processes would be beneficial for future integration and projects.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborative mindset with an ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
Fluency in Portuguese and English.
