Overview

The Production Change Management function ensures that required changes to the production IT environment are correctly recorded and subjected to the appropriate levels of risk assessment, structured planning, co-ordination, pre and post implementation testing/verification and authorization, prior to implementation. The function provides a necessary level of independent control, due diligence and impartial guidance to help ensure that all changes to the Banks production IT environment are compliant with the Banks IT Risk and Production Change Management Procedures. Production Change Managements primary objective is to ensure the ongoing stability of the Banks production services, which provide internal, external and regulatory related auditors confidence that the Bank maintains appropriately robust and complete controls around changes made to key and critical IT systems.

What Youll Do

  • Govern and oversee the execution, performance, and continuous improvement of the Production Change Management process, including policy compliance, exception management, and issue resolution

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for vendors, junior Change Managers, and the broader change user community, resolving complex, multi-region, and cross-business change conflicts

  • Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure effective review, approval, and coordination of production changes

  • Manage change governance activities, including Change Templates, Approval Models, approval rules, Change Restrictions, and publication of approved changes within the Change Management system

  • Oversee the planning, review, approval, and publication of Major Events and Change Event Calendar activities, including event planning meetings and conflict management

  • Support Change Management tooling and reporting by participating in system enhancements, testing (UAT/regression), process documentation, and delivery of ad hoc ITSM reporting and analytics

Skills Youll Need

  • Experienced IT Change Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in Production Change Management role

  • Experience gained largely in a heterogeneous IT organizational

  • Strong ITIL aligned service management experience

  • ServiceNow Experience is preferred

  • Sound and broad technology experience/exposure in either or both infrastructure and application technology

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • The ability to work in a global and fast-paced environment and to be able to make level-headed, considered decisions based both on over-arching policies and Bank needs, as well as, where appropriate, personal production change management experience

  • Have confidence to effectively and considerately challenge, at all levels, in order to protect the stability/integrity of the production environment

  • Be well-organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to manage and switch between - multiple initiatives/objectives from conception to conclusion

  • The ability to ensure all tasks and deliverables meet agreed due dates, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and sound problem-solving skills

  • Have good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
