As a Corporate Bank intern, you will support the Coverage team as well as Product Sales teams in managing and developing relationship with Italian corporate clients, leveraging the banks global network.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of banking products and services (Lending, Trade Finance, Cash Management, Fx and rates hedging. Trust and Agency Services and Security Services) and assist with client facing activities, financial and credit analysis and internal administrative and business management activities.

Learning Objectives

  • Attend client meetings/calls and assist in preparing documentation and follow up actions.
  • Support in analyzing clients financial statements, business models and industry trends.
  • Prepare internal memos for a number of purposes: briefing, credit approvals, capital allocation forums and other committees.
  • Assist the team in identifying potential business opportunities and prospective clients.
  • Assist in preparing client presentations.
  • Help in managing client queries and requests under the supervision of senior bankers.
  • Work alongside various departments in Italy and abroad, such as credit and product teams, to support the execution of deals and ensure smooth client service.
  • Support the team in day-to-day operations and collaborate with colleagues across different functions and locations.
  • Learn about relevant bank Policies and Process and operate in compliance with them.

Requirements

  • Strong academic record, either in Economics or Management Engineering.
  • Proactivity and problem-solving attitude, ambition and responsiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (in both Italian and English).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: able to join and onboard quickly and establish positive relationships with the team and clients.
  • Strong analytical skills: assimilating new information quickly and pro-actively relating them to the needs of the client base.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance, including credit analysis.
  • Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork.
  • Resilient to fast paced environment, able to work well under pressure.
  • Computer skills: Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.
