Balance Sheet Substantiation (BSS) is a key pillar of DBs SOX compliance efforts, and the role will drive the effective implementation of this control process. The role will manage the key deliverables of FCO on Balance Sheet Substantiation Key Risk Indicators and Risk Assessment
Your key responsibilities
Drives the BSS effort for the region, coordinating with country/division Finance Directors to determine emerging issues and monitor resolution. Ensures integrity of balance sheets through ownership assignments, substantiation, reconciliation and back/review testingPerforms quality assessments and backtesting of the BSS results, and connect the data points with other control metrics. Improves the understanding and increase accountability among account owners through updates and enhancements to the BSS training framework (e.g., online courses, classroom, training).Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on BSS, accounting, and audit concepts and principles. Responsible in the review and administration of SOx relevant controls through coordination with FCO partners and Stakeholders to ensure accurate and completeness of controls documentation in the systemMonitor and handle Management discussions and updates. Manage change projects to deliver on process improvements and efciencies.
Your skills and experience
Bachelors degree in accountancyStrong knowledge of finance and accounting Experience in balance sheet substantiation coming from banking and financial services is an advantageKnowledge on markets business, risk and regulatory High level of professionalism, integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgencyHighly organized, structured and ability to clearly communicate FCO initiatives with senior management and wider finance groups
