Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Banks technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Banks technology transformation.

Join the Name List Screening (NLS) team within Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) to build secure, scalable Google Cloud services that support the Banks global screening capabilities. As a Java Backend Engineer, you will work with a cross-functional Agile team to modernise critical applications, strengthen monitoring and screening controls, and help protect Deutsche Bank and society from financial crime.

Responsibilities

  • Design, provision, and optimise secure, scalable infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
  • Manage GCP release governance, IAM, security controls, vulnerability remediation, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, Product, and Platform teams to support migrations, production releases, and incident resolution.

Skills

  • Essential: Apply strong GCP skills across GKE, Compute Engine, networking, storage, IAM, monitoring, and logging.
  • Essential: Build automated cloud infrastructure with Terraform, configuration management, and reusable Infrastructure as Code practices.
