Role Description

  • Our Investments agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability have priority together with time to market.

  • By working in an Agile DevOps model we aim to achieve very high quality while continuously delivering value to our clients. Located in Germany and India, we work closely together using agile and virtual collaboration techniques and our teams diversity to reach our goals of continuous deployment, process improvement and internalizing engineering know how.

  • As a Business Functional Analyst, you will closely work together with business and operation units, Product Owner and development teams and bring business and functional analysis skills into the development team to ensure that the implementation of requirements aligns with our business needs and technical quality standards.

  • You should also be responsible for maintaining Data flow and lineage across the applications in domain. You will extensively make use and apply agile tools and practices in the context of Deutsche Banks digitalization journey.

Your key responsibilities

  • You are part of the agile development team, responsible for the functional analysis of epics and user stories in strong collaboration with all stakeholders (e.g. business units, operations, development team, Product Owner).
  • You will focus primarily on the users functional and technical design and documentation, work closely with the engineers and QAs, and ensure that the implementation meets business requirements and architecture, and that test cases meet defined acceptance criteria.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will support QAs and the business in successful testing and product launch by the company.
  • You will maintain data lineage and flow across the applications of the domain and maintain quality which could be provided to audits on very short notice.
  • You contribute to team standards, engineering best practices, quality standards and help ensuring that the team meets them.
  • You actively participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies.

Your skills and experience

  • Practical experience with methods for analysing business and functional processes, with the ability to align the functional solution with the target architecture.
  • Good understanding of Technology mainly in Java based application to relate between business and technical requirement.
  • Experience in agile software development as well as unit/integration testing as a standard development practice.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in data analysis with SQL Developer as well as in testing APIs, e.g. with Bruno.
  • Experience in process and data modelling and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written English and strong communication skills with ability to tailor communication to various stakeholders.
  • German language skills would be a plus but not a mandate.
  • Experience in problem solving
  • Pro-active team player with experience in working in a diverse and global acting Agile environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with knowledge of investment business and its operations.
