We are seeking committed new talent to join our highly skilled and diverse Data and AI team, with a focus on our clients in the Banking sector. Our goal is to work together with our clients to drive innovation and insight from their data, using cutting edge technology.

As a Manager, you will have a broad remit of responsibilities, which may flex depending on the expectation of the specific role you are fulfilling for your client. Youll lead small teams to deliver business critical outcomes with and for our clients. Youll apply your delivery know-how and technical understanding, along with understanding of the Banking industry to support clients with their complex challenges, and will be responsible for the likes of:

• Supporting clients and Deloitte AI leads in translating a vision into an AI architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Leading technical squads on Data & AI projects, and on AI prototyping and experimentation sprints.
• Collaborating with fellow AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Business teams, MLOps/LLMOps engineers, and a broad spectrum of architects (Enterprise, Application, Data).
• Owning technical decision-making activities, including open-source vs COTS product section, AI deployment and serving patterns, integration patterns, and design decisions.
• Working with security and risk leaders to foresee and mitigate AI risks, ensuring ethical AI implementation and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting the preparation for technical review boards and design authorities and working with Deloitte experts to ensure compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements.
• Building strong working relationships with our clients.
• Driving portions of our project proposals, technology business case documents, including estimating the ROI of an AI implementations.
• Contributing to our internal AI technical training pathways and mentoring junior Deloitte colleagues.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

As a Manager, you will need to:

• Have software/data engineering with proven experience focused on applied AI engineering, using Python and SQL. Experience in ML engineering and building API-enabled backends (e.g. FastAPI) is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate experience of LLM fundamentals: prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embedding models, RAG patterns and evaluation frameworks for agentic systems.
• Be comfortable using common CI/CD tooling and ensuring good practice across your delivery team. Knowledge or experience of MLOps/LLMOps is a plus.
• Have a proven track record in delivering Agentic AI solutions, managing and sequencing scope, estimating the build effort.
• Have a good command of common software delivery methodologies and tooling, e.g. Agile/SaFe, Extreme Programming, Jira, Confluence, Linear, Monday.
• Demonstrate experience across the Financial Services industry, with a primary focus on the Banking sector.
• Have experience working with: at least 1 vector database product (e.g. Pinecone), an agent development framework (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, Agent Development Kit), and MCP.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of modern data architectures and be able to proactively identify technical and delivery risks.
• Demonstrate experience working with at least 1 hyperscaler stack, preferably with a certification (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks).
• Have good communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset and an ability to operate independently.
• Be comfortable with also writing technical papers and working on AI business case documents.
