Position Summary
Deloittes Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) team is comprised of professionals specializing in Deloitte engagement economics & financial metrics, account operations and risk management. EFAs provide high-quality engagement financial management activities through all aspects of the full project life cycle. Their greatest value, however, is in the understanding and application of engagement business and financial processes, both to individual projects and to client accounts.
Work you'll do
As an Account and Engagement Finance Services Associate on the Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) team, you will be responsible for supporting engagement financial management activities across the project life cycle, with a focus on revenue, margins, and cost of delivery. You will:
* Support engagement leadership in managing revenue and margins by monitoring cost of delivery and overall engagement profitability
* Maintain compliance with client policies and perform financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis
* Support engagement billing and receivables processes and help monitor engagement financial performance
* Develop and track key performance indicators and communicate with engagement teams, finance, and other stakeholders to help keep work on track and within scope
* Collaborate with other EFAs across the practice, including practitioners in India, to support engagement financial management activities

The team
Our Engagement Financial Advisor team, part of Deloitte Services LP, helps internal clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with internal stakeholders to define their projects scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients projects on track and on cost.
The Engagement Financial Advisor Practice employs a hybrid work model that capitalizes on the benefits of both virtual and in-person experiences by identifying those activities that create the most value for you, your teams, and your clients when performed together in-person. We believe that in-person time is a necessary part of building relationships, facilitating teamwork, and supporting our culture. Currently the ability to travel outside of your Deloitte office location is expected to be up to 10% for in-person training and development opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2027, or have completed a bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or another related business discipline/equivalent program
* You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g., 100mile radius) by your start date and be able to commute daily, if required. You can expect to co-locate on average 1 time per week with variations based on types of work/projects
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
* Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required)
* Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
* Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
Preferred:
* 3.2 cumulative GPA preferred
